There are many known benefits to starting your day with coffee! For me, coffee with a soothing scented candle and some quiet time, is the perfect start to a productive day. So, as I start 2021 with my delicious morning coffee and candle (photo isn’t mine but I totally relate), I would like to briefly reflect on 2020 and talk about our goals for 2021.
For many, 2020 was the year that, to quote Judith Viorst, was a “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad” year. We had a pandemic with many lives lost, businesses shut down both temporarily and forever, and a contentious presidential election! Yuck is the best word we can think of right now for 2020 ☹
Life in 2020 gave us temptations, trials, and tribulations, and we believe that how we deal with them reveals a lot about our character. We try VERY hard to remember and practice that we should “count it all as joy” (James 1:2). In other words, count your blessings! Our biggest blessing is YOU, our customers. We are so, so thankful that your support has allowed us to continue our passion of making and providing the highest quality scented candles and other scented products.
Comfort is defined many ways but two we like are 1) a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constant worry and 2) prosperity and the pleasant lifestyle secured by it. Fragrance has been proven to affect our mood and evoke memories. Choose a fragrance to suit your mood (Calm: Comfort, Happy: Joy, Invigorating: Rain), or to remind you of a favorite event (Rodeo: Leather, Christmas: Alpine Spruce, Refreshing Cocktail: Mimosa). As we nested and socially distanced in 2020, creating a good mood or evoking a wonderful memory became truly important to our well-being. Home goods sales became a lifeline for retailers in 2020, and we see no reason not to continue this important trend. Making a comforting and enjoyable home is something that should never go out of fashion!
Our goal for 2021 is simple…continue to grow our business that we believe in so strongly. Our company was founded in the beautiful little Texas hill country town of Comfort, and our origins and tagline say it all. We truly want you to HAVE COMFORT IN YOUR HOME!
